SA Tour to New Zealand

A twenty-three goal South African team played in New Zealand’s international day at the Kikiki Polo Club near Auckland. The team consisting of Tom de Bruin, Gareth Evans, Chris MacKenzie and Duncan Watson acquitted themselves exceptionally well against a strong New Zealand line up. SA Tour to China

The South African team of Chris MacKenzie (5), Leroux Hendriks (5) and Gareth Evans (6) toured China to participate in the 2014 FIP World Snow Polo Cup. Sadly despite South Africa’s two previous years of success, the team failed to win a match in the round robin stages. It was the view by many in China, both officials and players, that the South African team was a competitive one and the team to beat. Ladies International

It is envisaged that a ladies International will be staged during SA Champs with the touring ladies team participating in a section for ladies on the Friday and Saturday. The touring team would play a South African ladies team on the Sunday of SA Champs as a curtain raiser to the final of the “A” section. The SAPA ladies representative is currently communicating with Zambia in the hope of inviting their national team to participate in this event.

2013 BMW International Polo Series Report

Chile participated in the 2013 BMW International Polo Series which was won in the end by the touring team by only two goals. This was Chile's first victory in six attempts on South African soil.
